More than 20% of people in Europe live below the so called poverty line, the minimum income necessary to life an adequate life, which makes a total of about 146.200.000 men. Even more shocking is that, according to the United Nations Children's Fund, the amount of children living in poverty within Europe has been increased over the past 20 years. This leads to homelessness, disease, starvation and social exclusion. Even if this sounds pretty harsh, it's the hard truth.
The logical consequence of this shocking facts is that there is only a slight chance for those people to ever get out of the misery if we don't change our habits and start to think about our fellow men. It's about time to stand up for our brothers and sisters, to fight their poverty and stop their social exclusion in order to create an even Europe where everyone is integrated in the society and no child has to starve ever again!
There are a lot of things we have to to reach the goal of an even Europe:
- ensure proper housings for everyone
- break the vicious circle of child poverty
- stop discrimination of disabled people, immigrants
and ethnic minorities
With this project we intend to get the attention of a large group of people of all ages and show them how they can and why they should help fellow Europeans. Everyone can do something, if he just wants to. Feel free to check out our articles, interviews and continuative links to find out how!
